What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is the preached Word to the whole world
that God is superabundantly rich in
His grace and  goodness.
God forgives sins!

Third Sunday after Pentecost

For a while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

When things start to go wrong, as they inevitably do on this side of heaven, the right time comes to appreciate that life is not ours to live as we please, but God’s gift to be lived on His terms. Now, this can be disappointing at first because God’s terms have a lot about death in them; only it is death intended to kill the old restless sinner in us and bring about the new man with a right mind. Disappointments are the universal near-death experience that lead us to either despair alone or cling to the gift of the Cross where God transformed death into a stage on life’s way. Thanks to Jesus’ timely cross, death and resurrection, our time is now moving to a fulfilling live, not to a frustrating depletion of life.

Come hear more on this at Resurrection this Sunday. Our day will begin with Bible Study and Sunday school at 10am, followed by the Divine Service with Holy Communion at 11am. Please find the bulletin below with all the Service details and more information.

I look forward to seeing you.

Pastor Jaime
